Corporate jets and office savings

Posted in After the Bell

We all remember the drop-in of auto executives in their flashy corporate jets. Did it project an aura of confidence and boost our trust? Obviously not. This small action says loads about the intelligence of the heads and the low quality of their handlers (read personal staff).

Anyway, the jet entries was one of the first cutbacks demanded but for the rest of us there are many simple ways to cut back on expenditure and improve company profits. In Calacanis post on how to save money running a startup , step 8 can be made even better… instead of buying everyone Microsoft Office, and googleifying the distribution… go for Open Office. 100% free and very much a match for Office. Obviously, you should also googleify the distribution since this is both practical, and free.
